Jennifer Hudson Might Have More Hits Than Dodgers

Academy Award® winner Jennifer Hudson will perform the U.S. National Anthem at the Major League Baseball national celebration of Jackie Robinson Day, prior to the start of the San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers game at Dodger Stadium on Sunday, April 15, 2007.

Jennifer Hudson soared to fame when she landed the lead role of Effie "Melody" White in the Academy Award nominated "Dreamgirls". Hudson received numerous awards for this breakthrough performance, including the 2006 Best Supporting Actress Oscar, Golden Globe, SAG Award, BAFTA Award, NAACP Image Award and Broadcast Film Critic's Association Award. The twenty-five year old star got her start on season three of FOX's hit reality show "American Idol", where she showcased her four-octave range and wowed millions of television viewers. She is currently working with Clive Davis on her debut album which is due for release on Arista Records in the fall.
