Dodgers start Randy Wolf, LHP (1-1, 3.75 ERA) vs. Chris Young, RHP (1-0, 2.13 ERA)
Dodgers: 7-4 (T-2nd place NL West, 0.5 GB, L1)
Padres: 7-4 (T-2nd place NL West, 0.5 GB, W1)
From Dodgers.com, the scouting report on the starters:
Dodgers: Wolf kept the ball in the park against the Giants, outpitching Barry Zito, and the only run he allowed should have been unearned. Wolf scattered three hits over six innings and allowed Barry Bonds' only one drive off the wall.
Padres: After giving up three runs over 5 2/3 innings in his first start, Young felt much better about his second start, shutting out the Giants for seven innings and getting his first win of the season on Monday. The 6-foot-10 right-hander has 24 consecutive road starts without a defeat coming into his third start of 2007.
We hope you enjoyed your brief stay in Firstplaceville. Thank you for flying Dodger Air.
