Juan Pierre to Wear Number 11, In Honor of....

All our legions of SoSG-maniacs know that Mr. Mendoza's mediocre play at the plate helped create the beloved "Mendoza Line." Though most consider .200 the Mendoza Line, his lifetime batting average is actually a lofty .215 (with a .245 OBP!). On Sunday, while the rest of the league honors Jackie Robinson, I suggest Mr. Pierre throw a lucky number 11 on his back. He's currently batting .211, so Mendoza's extra hit per month would really come in handy.

Doesn't Mendoza look like Ron Howard's brother, Clint?
