Dodgers: Tomko pitched well enough to win in his outing against the Pirates on Sunday afternoon at Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers committed three errors behind him, however, and the Bucs took advantage of the miscues. Tomko went six innings and gave up five runs (three earned) on eight hits while striking out seven. He was 1-0 with 1.06 ERA in two starts against the Padres last season.Padres: Maddux certainly didn't pitch poorly in a loss to the Rockies on Sunday, yielding four runs on six hits over seven innings. The Padres provided him with only two runs of support, and he was out-pitched by Colorado's Jason Hirsh. Or, as Maddux said, he "pitched just good enough to lose." Maddux struck out four and walked one.

Maddux has thrown back to second for six staight time, without getting Pierre. But nomar flies out. 2 out, man on second, Kent up.
On the sixth non-pitch while staring at Pierre, it sounded like Petco was booing Maddux!
Kent gets the basehit to right, Pierre scores and Kent ends up at second.
1-0 Dodgers, Kent on second and Gonzo at the plate with a 3-1 count.
Vin keeps talking about how well Gonzo hits Maddux, but I'm looking at a .252 BA. We'll see what gives here...Gonzo walks, bringing up Martin with 2 on.
