Hyun-Jin Ryu, possibly? (6-2, 2.89) vs. Jorge De La Rosa (6-3, 3.16).
Ryu might be the latest Dodger to be felled by the Conte Cholera, the term commonly used to describe the maddening parade of injured Dodgers which has coincided with the Stan Conte era (three simultaneous hamstring injuries to a nine-man starting lineup? Who the hell is leading pre-agme stretching, for pete's sake?!). Ryu's injury wasn't the result of chicken and beer, unlike some Dodgers; no, this came after a comebacker naield Ryu in the foot in his last start (a CGSHO, mind you). So Ryu may be a late scratch.
If there's any upside in projecting today's rubber match, it's that De La Rosa (winner of his last four decisions) is 0-8 against the Dodgers lifetime, with a 6.75 ERA. Ah, who am I kidding. 5p, puck drops in Game 2.
