Um, yeah. There are no words, but I'll try.
Zack Greinke wasn't overwhelming but ended up shutting out Atlanta over seven innings, using 117 pitches. The Dodgers were nursing a 1-0 lead into the 8th, when pinch hitter Hanley Ramirez worked a walk to load the bases. Who came up with the ol' Rancho Ardiendo? See above (Vin's call (or lack thereof) here).
Did we mention it was a first-pitch grand slam?
Yeah, Brute 66 has only played four games and already has three home runs and nine RBI (.438/.438/1.063). Also credit Scott Van Slyke with a sweet throw to hold the runner at third in the seventh, Greinke's last inning.
But seriously, PUIG! This is insanity, and we love it.

Vinny was right, as usual. Puig's slam was one of those "moments". Also, the Dodgers defense had several shining moments, highlighted by the throw of SVS to the plate that was perfecto.
I've missed all three of his homers after going to bed early and I am convinced he would have not hit them if I was watching. I will gladly give up watching them live if he is going to continue to hit them and we are going to continue to win
Hey Donnie, Zack Lee called.
It just hit me that we have the potential for Double Zacks.
@FB
THis happened, like, 15 seconds after you went to bed. We felt bad for you.
Si se Puig! Si se Puig!
Ok so I'm watching the highlights on MLB and you have Vin Scullys call where he is silent and then talks about why he is silent with all of the cheering in the background. Then the highlight goes to Steiner screaming his fucking head off practically eating his microphone. Quite a contrast.
AC, I had a similar experience. Was in the car on the way to work, and when that highlight came on MLB Network Radio, they had Steiner's call. It was such contrast to Vin's call (which of course was mostly silence). It was like Steiner had been experiencing constipation, and had finally had a bowel movement; just sheer unfocused gurgling. Then he said something lame about this not even happening in Hollywood, but that it did. Contrast that with Vin's masterpiece after the Mannyslam: "That's even more Hollywood than Hollywood. Yep, that's Mannywood."
Also Steiner or Monday had already dropped the Hollywood angle the other night and both times it was lame. Vinny is incredible.
Help us Obi Wan Pu-IG.
You are our only hope.
Oh. And I agree with Karen...
SVS is doing a fantastic job, much under the radar. He's a keeper. Type of player we needed on the bench from day one.
Puig is just amazing. And Vin always knows how to let us enjoy the moment. I'm excited about Dodger baseball again!
Serious question:
Do Puig and Cruz do a row, row, swim, swim celebration after Puig hits a homer?
If so, that is awesome.
@EricoPerico
That's exactly right! It's the new "High Five" since Puig came to town.
I saw it in his first 2 games as well, but didn't make the defecting from Cuba connection until after the grand slam last night.
Brute 66 is getting picked up in every fantasy league in the country by now I bet.
I've been stashing Brute 66 on my fantasy team all season! (actually my co-manager was and he is a genius)
Steiner's O face.
Scully = James Bond. Steiner = Mr Bean.
Available at DS tonight. That was fast.
