Clayton Kershaw (6-4, 2.65 ERA) vs. Josh Collmenter (0-2, 4.41 ERA)
So, what the hell, June? The Dodgers are now 4 and 1 in July, and are looking to Clayton Kershaw to extend what feels like their first winning streak in forever. Collmenter started the year in the bullpen for the snakes, but has been forced into the rotation with injuries to Joe Saunders and Daniel Hudson. He's been decent in his spot starts, but has been given run support that is downright Eovaldiesque.
So is this the beginning of the recovery for the Dodgers? Can we hold off the competition and make it to the All-Star Break with some semblance of dignity?* Collment away, SoSGers!
*The team, I mean, not the bloggers. Let's not set our expectations that high.
