This post-game thread is dedicated to Andre Ethier, whose streak of consecutive games with a hit finally ended today. I didn't even care about the rest of the game, in which the Dodgers left 14 on base and were 1-for-13 with RISP. Dioner Navarro hit his first HR of the year, James Loney had a rare multi-hit game (two hits), and Jon Garland pitched a servicable 6.0 IP with only 2 ER. But who the hell cares; we were only watching to see Ethier.
All I want to do is thank Ethier for keeping me interested in a Dodgers team that is otherwise going nowhere fast.

Willie Davis RIP. Fade back into the corn fields, 3-Dog - your record is safe.
In happier news, Matt Kemp's late-game SB picked me up the Kemp badge.
I now have four Dodgers (out of the 79 in there right now): Marcus Thames, Juan Uribe, Jamey Carroll, and Kemp.
(I have three Giants.)
DB,
Where did you watch the Derby?
willie davis is the new wes parker
@RBN
In-laws' sofa (Vinny).
OK, how many of you young 'uns actually saw Willie and Wes play?
I did. Saw Maury Wills, Claude Osteen, Don Sutton, Fernando (in the play-offs no less), The Infield, Joe Ferguson, Steve Yeager, Willie Crawford, and a bunch of others who would put guys like Aaron Miles to shame, play.
*cries a nostalgic cry*
DB,
Buena Park?
Man there are a lot of white people here. Making me nervous...
Yep, Buena Park.
LA Dodgers, RIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Dusty: I thought that was where the Rally Monkey was hidden, hence the shades of brown on the top of the head
@rbnlaw 7:59p: dude, hee-seop fucking choi would put aaron miles to shame.
in fact, I'm posting a quickie on miles tomorrow.
@Sax:
Word. This team is chuck full of second rate talent, Kemp, Ethier, and a pretty good starting rotation.
Bright side: they're only 6 players away from contending. . .in the weakest division in MLB.
Goddamn.
Jay Johnstone would put Aaron Miles out of baseball.
I need a steak.
I need a smonksteak.
Rox tie it in the seventh, chase Ashley Bumgarner. 2-2, T8 @ the Phone.
More on Ethier's streak here (ESPN's Ian "Ed" Begley).
C'mon, schadenfreude!
Waiting for Pac-Man/Mosley to start.
Virtually speaking.
Dug the live performance of Eye of the Tiger.
Beer status: Sam Adams Summer Ale
Surly Status: Mrs Dusty is really mad that I keep singing that Rally Monkey/up your ass song and embarrassing her. But yeah, I'm surly. Who would have thought that would have been the case after I had so many high quality, well priced beer for which I did not have to stand in line.
What's going on with the fight, Josh?
Mosely was knocked down in the third. Now he's being all timid and the crowd is booing the shit out of him.
Kinda like Broxton.
I just saw Elgin Baylor when I was out at dinner!
His jheri curl was rockin'
Mosley's a bitch.
Was he bitching about Donald T?
The sport of boxing is a joke.
At least last year we had one cool winning streak.
We are gonna be sellers by July. Lilly,Garland,Wide eyes, and Hiro could fetch us some prospects that won't amount for shit.
Clubber Lang was underrated.
Pls don't call boxing a sport. Any more than you would call wrestling a sport.
Cc: DeLino
all games are over.
