Chad Billingsley (2-1, 4.46) vs. Ryan Dempster (1-3, 9.58).
Precious little joy in Dodgertown these days, so let's focus on the good: Andre Ethier, owner of the third-longest hitting streak in Dodgers history. He's currently at
27 28 straight games, with a decent chance at 28 29 — being 7 for 20 lifetime against Dempster (including a home run).
Sax's note: I'll be at the game tonight. Email us or leave a comment in this thread if you want to meet up; I'm on the field level this evening (third base side). Oh, and that stratospheric Dempster ERA: although his last start was a horriffic 0.1 IP, 4H, 4 BB, 7 ER, 1 HR, 0 K outing (jumping his ERA by almost two full runs in the process), Dempster hasn't had his ERA below 6.30 all year (which is almost two full runs above his career ERA of 4.46).
