The Dodgers have one more chance in this series to wake up and realize they're in Coors Field--where offense lives, right? Not for the Dodgers, whose five scattered hits yesterday almost matched the Rockies' hit output, except the Rockies knew either how to mash (two solo HR) or how to make a leadoff double register a run. The Dodgers didn't have many opportunities, but still managed to go 0-for-4 with RISP.
But it's a new day, with a new day game, and our big-contract and big-thigh pitcher Billingsley on the mound. Oh, and Casey "Beard" Blake makes his 2011 debut, coming off the DL two days early! So who says the more hirsute Dodgers can't goatee off offensively today against Hammel? Heck, even in a close shave of a game, where Rafael Furcal mustache home and stubble across the plate with the winning run, I'd be satisfied. After all, a win would preserve our season-long streak of non-losing series, before we whiskers-selves off to San Diego for the weekend series.
