The real Dodgers showed up today, and they weren't lucky enough to play a team with crappy defense this time. The real Dodgers were led by Clayton Kershaw, who did his best, going six innings and allowing three runs, all earned. But the Dodgers lineup, featuring Tony Gwynn Jr. batting second, swung toothpicks all night.
The Rockies showed why they're favored to finish ahead of the Dodgers; Yo-lease Cha-seen outdueled Kershaw, allowing only five hits over seven innings. Troy Tulowitzki killed us (again), hitting a solo homer and playing his usual excellent defense. Chris Iannetta "Fish, then I-a-eat-a It" hit a solo homer of his own, and the Rockies added a completely superfluous run on a Jose Lopez RBI.
The real Dodgers are considerably less fun to watch than the team that just took three of four from the Giants. Which team will show up tomorrow?
