Happiness in Heartbreak

In a rare unguarded moment, Andre Ethier smiles before the game.

Matt Kemp manages not to be distracted by all the pretty flowers. Apparently 12 out of every 13 Cardinal fans know how to follow a play.

Always look on the dark side: If Manny Ramirez hadn't made this catch, the bullpen would be more rested today.

Ah, innocent times. Manny and Clayton Kershaw celebrate Manny's heroics.

I remember those good times like they were yesterday. Can't wait until we get to Atlanta and spoil the Braves' dreams of contending.

Think they'll trade Jurrjens?

Why couldn't it have started raining in the top of the ninth?

Hooray! Rockies are taking a thumping from the Mets in the first game of the doubleheader. And the Giants begin 4 against the Phils today.

We may be able to escape this wretched week with little to no damage done! (Except maybe to morale.)

The Dodgers emailed me, saying Randy Wolf will be chatting with fans on Tuesday at 2 PM. Hopefully somebody can ask him how big of a Star Wars geek he really is =).

I shall ask him the Star Wars Q's.

I heard on Steve Czaban today that the Dodgers are still working hard on a Halladay trade that would either involve Billingsly and a couple of prospects OR like 5 guys from the Dodgers system.

Its looking like the Red Sox will probably have the stronger hand, as they appear to be ready to deal some highly touted prospects (Buchholz heads up that list). Lets see if Neddy can pull of some deadline magic two years in a row.

Halladay! It would be, it would be so nice!

The one advantage we have with the Red Sox is that we're in a different division (and a different league).

Great point fanerman.

If he (Ned) can get this done and not give up Billz or Kershaw, it would erase the contract debacles of the past IMO. Manny/O Dogg/Halladay certainly cancels out Schmidt/Jones/Pierre, right?
