San Francisco: Where Players Live Forever?

From "Vizquel Extension Up For Discussion" at MLB Trade Rumors:

40 year-old shortstop Omar Vizquel would like to play in 2008 and 2009, so the Giants will meet with his agent today to talk extension.

If I were a Giants fan, I would be pretty unhappy to hear my team was considering an extension for its 40-year-old shortstop. Add this to Barry Bonds thinking long-term as well and it looks like the Giants will be on the AARP's mailing list for years to come.

i moved away from the USA over five years ago to a country that hardly ever even mentions baseball. After five years i finally began to wonder why the *world* series was only played by american teams...

Didn't you see Starship Troopers (where Casper Van Diem, Doogie Howser and Denise Richards's plastiques were all from Argentina!) Soon enough, the US will be the world.

Sabean! I hear Willie Mays may be available for your lineup! Imagine the crowds with Bonds AND Mays in the lineup during this "home run chase"!
