Post-Game 71 Thread: Cheaters End Up Prospering, After All

Remember, Jason Marquis, the cheater? Well, I guess he didn't do all that well, leaving the game tied at 2 after six innings of work (same for Dodgers starter Stephen Fife).

But the Dodgers' pen certainly couldn't cheat fate, yielding two runs in the seventh (Matt Guerrier, 0.0 IP, 2 H, 2 ER) and eighth (Peter Moylan, 1.1 IP, 2 H, 2 ER; due to a Pedro Ciriaco 2-run HR).

The ninth inning got interesting: A.J. Ellis added a solo shot in the ninth to make it 6-3, then Mark Ellis and Jerry Hairston singled. But tying run Skip Schumaker promptly GIDPd, and Yasiel Puig struck out to end the game.

Puig did have a 406-foot solo HR on the first pitch he saw in the first inning. But his AB in the third and fifth, both Ks swinging, looked horrible; Puig ended 1-for-5 with 3 Ks.

All that "momentum" following a 6-0 win over the Yankees yesterday? Gone. Guess I'm going to have to take matters in my own hands tomorrow...

We're on a road to nowhere...

They're like the Dallas Cowboys of MLB; they've got talent, but they're seemingly allergic to success and can't win more than 1 or 2 in a row. Not even after a "signature win".

I know, I know! I've got some percolating. I just need TIME.

Like Juan Uribe needs a double double.

Puig has to calm down and not swing wildly

Gurrier is so fucking terrible I can't even get my mind around it. He cannot get anyone out and blows every fucking inning he pitches in. Stop the madness! Now!

Puig got a big league lesson last night. If Puig was farther away from the plate I'd have SooHoo put a camera in his hands because he'd be in the photographers pen! Just saying...
