Kemp Closing In on Holliday (Not the Relaxing Kind)

From "ASG spots up for grabs as voting nears close" at MLB.com:

NL outfield: Which Matt will it be?
Dodgers Triple Crown candidate Matt Kemp is making a serious run at Matt Holliday of the Cardinals in the race to join Ryan Braun of the Brewers and Lance Berkman of the Cardinals in the NL starting outfield. Holliday had 2,935,965 votes to Kemp's 2,743,927 on Monday, and considering that Kemp received 81 more votes than him in the past 72 hours, that gap looks like a slight edge right now.

A small sign of encouragement: the last-place Dodgers will have more than just a token representative at the All-Star Game this year. An early congrats to Kemp and Clayton Kershaw!

UPDATE: Today is the last day to vote!

Great (terrible) stat on Dodger Thoughts this morning: Ted Lilly has allowed 37 HR in the past 12 months, Clayton has allowed 39 HR in his career

Does anyone remember Russell's first year on the All-Stars? They had a giant media push to get out the vote. I remember pins, KCAL promos, I think even billboards. Wish we had the money for that stuff again. A little PR seems like just the trick to get Kemp over the hump.

Two things:

-When you get the "You've voted the maximum # of times" message, hit "change selections." Don't change anything, and then hit "Submit vote." It lets you keep voting from the same address. (I have no idea if they throw out votes over 25 from a particular email address.)

-Jeez, MLB.com, would it kill you to put the cursor in the Validation Key field automatically?
