The yolk is indeed on us, most particularly all those fans who humped it out to the Stadium for a midday game and saw us turn back not only the clock (with our uniforms) but also our scoring (with our bats). Dee Gordon and Matt Kemp had multi-hit games, but the slumping Andre Ethier went 1-for-3 with 3 LOB, Marcus Thames went 0-for-3 with 4 LOB, and James Loney topped them all with an 0-for-4, 5 LOB performance. Yahtzee!
Meanwhile, Chad Billingsley couldn't even record his thirteenth out, lasting only four innings with 7 ER and 9 H. Scott Rolen crushed Bills' shell, going 3-for-4 with 3 RBI, and former Giant Fred Lewis added 2 RBI on a 2-for-3 day. So we start our most comfortable homestand of the year being uncomfortably numb, swept by the Reds at home for the first time since 2004.
Take a nice day off from a good union job tomorrow, Dodgers. You've earned it.

Can we just call up the rest of the Topes?
Dodgers should be yard sellers in a month.
When was the last time were sellers?
Ugh. I can't type today, but you know what I mean.
You were saying?
You union folks better not be taking a day off from my worksite!
When is the part where we win the game?
That respectable 5-5 road trip seems like a month ago. Man this team really knows how to kills a buzz even if the buzz was from a light beer.
@db
I'm not a union member. Can I have the day off then?
Mr. C better not be union. I only pay him in Gin.
Btw: Stop using the Company card Mr. C. Turns out it wasn't my company or my card.
Too late.
I traded it to Spanky for three tall boys and a mackerel, straight up.
Be careful he likes to trim the whiskers off catfish and call them desert makerel.
Mmmmm...
Desert mackerel...
I'm calling it now, Ned signs Fred Lewis to a 3-year, $9 MM deal this off season.
My surliness has become simple clinical depression at this point.
*sigh*
Call me when Ned is gone, when Frank is gone, and when Timmeh cuts his hair.
I doth protest these Dodgers.
Cut yer hair, Bronson!
