Congrats to the UConn Huskies...I think.

One Shining Moment had to be cut down to 15 seconds.

May they go to hell

One Shitty Moment.

And then another.

Fred's Brim said...

it was literally one moment, that alleyoop to Lamb in the second half

That's not true. I think there was some shine off Calhoun's forehead.

It makes me ill how New York tries to claim UConn as a local team when they are winning. Storrs is 30 miles further away from New York than Philly is

Kyle Baker said...

New York can have UConn because then it makes it easier for me to hate any New York area team all at once instead of having my attention divided.

Nothing but baseball from now on.
The Dodgers better stay in the race for a while or I won't know what to do with myself

Happy 10-year anniversary in the MLB, Ichiro!

Lasorda isn't on the masthead. Is it official?

Kyle Baker said...

Saito was putrid for Brewers today. How is he still playing?

Paul said...

Wait that wasn't the first half?

This two off day week is gonna bug me.

Snap poll:

If you could legally shoot one but not both of the Yankees announcing team, which one would you execute - Suzyn Waldman or John Sterling?

Kyle Baker said...

And no, FB, in this hypothetical, there is no way to position them so one bullet goes through both of their heads.

@ Dusty

Can I shoot Joel Myers instead?

Kyle Baker said...

@Spanky

Yes.

Right on!

Is that a Husky, or a Cheetah?

Since this NCAA title proves Cheetahs do prosper sometimes.

Interesting Shaikin Article regarding Frank's possible new adventures in litigation.

Thanks Paul. I'm picking up the article now, will post on it shortly (it may get the 6a slot tomorrow, depending on how my editors receive my piece).

I need some scotch...

Scotch status: dead sober

(cries)

Paul said...

I need to get some Yamazaki 18 year old scotch soon. I dusted the first one off very quickly last year.

It is like Russian Standard Vodka it always seems like they must have leaks in the bottle. Either that or I have a very toasted rodent friend.

Paul said...

Yeah Coach Scotch benched me tonight too. But unlike Barajas I had been playing in a long stretch of games.

OK, I may be addicted to The Show.

Of course, video game Dodger baseball isn't that much different from real life. Despite home runs from Blake and Ethier, I still lost 6-5 to the Brewers. Hawksworth coughed up the lead in the 7th. I got a leadoff pinch hit double from Gabe Kapler (I need to update the roster.) in the 9th, but followed it with three straight weak groundouts.

Still, fun!

@Paul, I assume you mean Russian Standard Platinum. I've moved to that as my bloody mary vodka of choice.

@Josh S: What platform?

I just remembered that while at the gym today, I saw Russell Martin GIDP. He is batting .429, but still, I laughed.

Steve Sax said...

@Paul: Shaikin article gets the 6a slot tomorrow. Thanks for the headsup.

@Sax: PS3

@DB Suz is the one who would get it first. And if I missed I would know any stray bullets couldn't help but hit Michael Kay. That dude's head is so big, it eclipses Zack Greinke's head several times a year

Kyle Baker said...

Greinke's head is indeed tiny.
