Even Mark Cuban Isn't Interested In The Dodgers Anymore

There was a front-page article on the Dodgers and Mets in USA Today Tuesday, highlighting the embarrassing owners spats for both teams. But what was scary about the article was this final paragraph:

It's enough for Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban to say he will no longer pursue buying a team. "It does reflect just how difficult it is to successfully operate a baseball franchise in a major market," said Cuban, who lost an auction in U.S. Bankruptcy Court over the summer to buy the Texas Rangers. "It can be difficult to keep your fans happy and your bankers happy."

Shit, if Cuban's out, to whom can we turn?

How about Bob Rich, Buffalo Billionaire? Frozen food magnate, owner of puny soccer clubs and the Buffalo Bisons AAA team, stadium naming rights pioneer (Rich Stadium, now Ralph Wilson Stadium, home of the Bills, was named after his company back in the early 70s). But if they can't get him to buy the Bills, why would he buy the Dodgers?

@FB, I saw that Bob Rich article and I was cracking up. Maybe we can have frozen food items sold at the Stadium concession stands, and then have microwaves placed near the ketchup and mustard carts.

Maybe that Arkansas buffoon (sorry Dusty and Ditty) Jerry Jones. He would get down to "socks and jocks". He certainly has the money to spend to turn things around.

Is there a new sign-in for Blogger? They took me to a new page instead of letting me log in on the Comments page. Does that mean they are trying to improve Blogger?
I always assumed, based on the crappy interfaces and numerous posting errors, that Blogger was a rudderless ship
