I don't know if, after the Orange and Sugar Bowls, a non-BCS bowl featuring a 6-6 team (Mid Tennessee) is going to get me to tune in. Danica Patrick would have been enough to resolve this dilemma, but Jillian Michaels, too? Suddenly lost interest.

Having read Adam Carolla's book, "In 50 Years, We'll All Be Chicks," I can fill you in on the "Danica Patrick Syndrome" for female athletes.
Some feel that Danica is hot. This is not the case. Compared to all women, Danica rates about a solid 6, maybe 7 (on a scale of 1-10). Factor in her profession, driver of race cars, her numbers go up to a solid 9.
See, without the "race car driver" tag, she's average. As an "athlete," she's hot.
Don't get me started on Jilian Michaels.

As someone who has semi-bashed Danica Patrick on this blog, I feel compelled to weigh in.
First off, I totally agree with rbn that on a normal-woman scale, Danica is somewhere between a 6 and 7.
And to me, the race car/athlete factor doesn't add anything (or maybe its that my perception of her personality detracts from whatever the race car factor adds...not sure). So I get really upset when others treat her like she's a 9 when to me she's so clearly not, because it makes me think that she herself thinks she's a 9, even though I have no proof she does in fact think this. So I react by bashing her, even though it's really not her fault.
So I guess I'm owning up to my immature behavior of lashing out and misdirecting my anger towards Danica, which serves to mitigate my own feelings of inadequacy.
I'm sorry.

I'm in for a 7, maybe 8. I don't really care about auto racing but from a hey-it's-interesting, I might give another point. But the fact remains, I don't think I'd push her out of a moving race car simulator machine at Dave and Buster's.

Yes, the makeover adds the standard 1 pt. But it can't cover up the fact that underneath it all, a 7.5 body with a 5.5 face net out to 6.5.
FYI, the positioning of her left hand as a counter-balancing force in the post photo suggest she's zipping down.
And if said photo doesn't scream "for all you fellas who thought I had an attractive face, look again closely, re-assess, and get back to me," I don't know what does.
I agree with the rest of you guys that DP (Hahahahaha!) is only average. If she really wanted to add an extra point of hotness, she'd add some cleavage. Otherwise, why do we care that she's zipping her jumpsuit down?

I think I'm also really annoyed at all the hype about Danica Patrick and her subsequent attitude, real or perceived. There are lots of women way more appealing that are far more deserving of such attention. Take Karina for example: far more beautiful, talented, down-to-earth, and intelligent (and she loves baseball and Star Wars to boot!), yet half the male population drools over Danica Patrick instead?
Really, world? What's wrong with you people!?!
