Jim Caple Says We're Not As Miserable As We Feel

"Get comfy, Dodger fans. It's hammer time."

ESPN's Jim Caple compiles something he calls the Misery Index, in which he attempts to quantify the unhappiness quotient of the 30 current MLB cities (sorry, Expos fans). I won't spoil where Los Angeles fits in, but I guess I need to be looking on the bright side of life.

Everybody loves rankings!

In reviewing the "Six Facets of Misery," I wonder what the difference between Recent/Historic Pain vs Recent/Historic Despair is?

Isn't Misery Index a Paramore song?

No shit. Recent pain only 3!? I've had a spinal tap that was less painful than last season.
