I'll be there to get this one.
Wow! Pretty good.
Hi, NB! And DB!
Hi Orel!
Sorry, your last name doesn't start with a B. Can't say hi.
How are we all doing this fine morning?
Well, I wish there were football today.
I just took a shower (miracle of miracles! - before noon, even!) and the only thought I had was to bemoan the fact that there is no college football. Why do the sports gods hate us today?
Agreed. I think part of the appeal of the NFL is there aren't games every day. I have basically zero interest in college hoops until March Madness, and even then I'm only interested if I'm in a pool of some sort.
I mean, what am I supposed to do the six days of the week when The Bachelor isn't on?
I have to make myself be involved with college hoops any more, even during March. With players spending all of a year or two with a team before going pro, it just doesn't have the same appeal to me any more. Used to be huge with me, but now it's a chore. I can sit around and watch My Left Foot State University play Buttercup State in football on a Saturday, but shit I can't even get up for a Maryland v Duke basketball game on a lazy Saturday afternoon. Times and interests change, I guess.
DB - good point about the 1-year-and-out phenomenon impacting college basketball appeal. Fifteen years ago I had a decent amount of genuine interest.
Today, right now, I honestly cannot name a single college basketball player.
Not even one. Unless Tyler Hansborough is still playing.
I just got back from seeing UCLA, down 22-8 in the first half, cone back to beat Stanford at Pauley Pavilion. Good game!
you guys are right I could name every starter and bench players for my Orange and Miners. Now I am lucky to catch a game, and when I do I am not entirely paying attention
I can name a couple - no more - Razorback basketball players but that's it. Could have a gun to my head and couldn't name another college player. Have no idea who is currently ranked number one or twenty one.
Hear that NCAA?
