Post-Game 45 Thread: An Onset Of Ophidiophobia

DIAMONDBACKS 5, DODGERS 3

Two days ago, we were 8-1 against the Diamondbacks this year and laughing at how we were toying with them. But it's not good to screw with snakes. Just ask the guy in the above photo (a little morbid, I know).

Or, you can ask the Dodgers, who rebounded from yesterday's Kershaw-stomping 18-7 annihilation by posting an ugly 5-3 loss that showed Dan Haren on the losing end of multiple tightrope walks. Haren allowed runs in the second, third, fourth, and fifth innings, despite being given a 1-0 lead from a Hanley Ramirez HR and a 3-1 lead from a Adrian Gonzalez HR.

The Dodgers--well, specifically, Matt Kemp--had their chances. Top 6, one out, Gonzalez on second and Andre Ethier having taken a walk: Matt Kemp GIDPs 6-4-3. Top 8, two out and the bases loaded: Kemp lines out to second base to end the inning. Dodgers end the game 1-for-4 with RISP, which is shitty from both the numerator and the denominator perspective.

So the Snakes take the series, the Dodgers drop back to a woeful five back of the Giants (who won) and three back of the Rockies (who also won). The frickin' Padres are only two games behind us. Get the team out to NY early, Donnie, and take 'em to Scores or something. This funk sucks.

I like how the snake looks like it's pleasantly surprised.

Yay, we get to play in a stadium that even harder to hit in than our own

There's a moderate chance of rain for Wednesday and Thursday

@FB: you must be going to these games?

PS at this stage a rainout might be better than watching this team play

I have said this 100 times: Donnie must go.

@Sax from the GT-

"it's time for the big man to turn it on."

That's what I say to Neeebs' mom every night.

It's not like we can hold another players meeting at this point

@Saxy I'll be there Tuesday and Thursday. Wednesday is looking pretty wet. That may be a game-time decision
