Post-Game 31 Thread: Un/pleasant Un/expectations

DODGERS 9, MARLINS 7 (11)

There are unpleasant expectations, like the Dodgers getting dragged into another bullpen-sapping extra-innings game.

There are pleasant unexpectations, like Dee Gordon turning in another boss-like performance (5 for 6, 2 RBI, 2 SB).

Unpleasant expectation: The bullpen blew a five-run lead.

Pleasant expectation: Puig destroying a fourth-inning home run.

Pleasant unexpectation: The slumping Carl Crawford crushing the game-winning home run.

Pleasant unexpectation: Brandon League pitching two innings for the win.

What can we expect next? Who knows?

I'm going to channel my inner Karina and say we are turning a corner. True, we have HJRyu on the 10 day DL but we also have the greatest pitcher in the game back on Tuesday. With the exception of Wilson, we saw a pretty positive game from some of those who were struggling. With any kind of luck, Dee and Yasiel will continue to mash and there is always some sort of voodoo that can be cast upon our bullpen.

Thanks Orel!

I almost drove off the road cheering for Crawford and his extra-inning bomb. Monday and Nomar aren't yet a great radio team, but that was cool to hear.

And that HR by Puig was monstrous. Bat flip time!

how are League and Jamey Wright our best relievers right now?
