Clayton Kershaw (2-0, 0.66) vs. Tim Hudson (4-2, 1.99).
Two days ago, Yasiel Puig stared down Madison Bumgarner during a home-run trot, and suddenly the Dodgers (who dropped that game) showed some uncharacteristic fire in the next game, with a surprising comeback victory at home. Was Puig's grimace the turning point? Or, said differently, can we expect more-scowl on the Hudson today?
(Another year in purgatory, I know.)
Kershaw returns for his second start since returning from the DL. Hudson, who went deep in each of his last two starts, is 0-3 with a 5.56 ERA in his last six starts at Dodger Stadium. Let's hope that, this Mother's Day, that it will be Dodger fans who come through in (or with) the clutch.
(Apologies that I couldn't find a decent video of Vampire Weekend's "Hudson" online. Given previous artists mentioned on SoSG this season, let me at least leave this cover version.)
