Post-Game 33 Thread: Crying In The Rain

NATIONALS 4, DODGERS 0

The Dodgers had to sit through a 3:17 rain delay to fully shit the bed on this one, which was bookended by a two-run homer in the first off of Zack Greinke (who suffered his first loss of the year in a 3.0 IP, 2 ER, 5 H, 1 BB and 1 K outing), as well as a two-run homer in the eighth off of Pedro Baez. Meanwhile, the Giants clawed their way back from a 8-2 deficit to win in extras against Pittsburgh, 11-10. So the 18-15 Dodgers now sit 3.5 games off the lead (which is even better than the pythagorean expected win-loss record would have our record).

We almost turned a triple play today. But we didn't. (cries)

Someday, when my crying's done, I'm gonna wear a smile and walk in the sun. Actually, that day might be tomorrow, when Clayton Kershaw is scheduled to pitch, and hopefully reverse our recent slide. A-ha! That's the answer!
