Pretty respectable placement in the May 12 2014 ESPN.com Power Rankings, even though we've dropped three spots from prior week. Let's put it this way, we're the best-ranked team with a record that's close to .500. Whoo hoo!
Anyway, here's what the sidebar says:
Los Angeles hasn't won two games in a row since sweeping a doubleheader May 1. Now is the time to make hay: hosting the Marlins for three (Miami 3-13 on road), then a winnable road trip against the Diamondbacks, Mets and Phillies. Kenley Jansen and J.P Howell both on pace for 85-plus appearances. -- Diane Firstman (@dianagram), Value Over Replacement Grit
Yep, sounds good enough for a eighth-place slot (or in other words, we're not sinking to the bottom of the list just yet!).

Wait, didn't we win three in a row in Minnesota?
The doubleheader on May 1 was the Minnesota series.
It's technically correct. We won that doubleheader plus the game vs the Twins the day before. So May 1 was the last time we won 2 in a row. May 1 is also the last time we won 3 in a row
Exactly FB.
