Post-Game 23 Thread: Eggs-Actly

The man in this picture is Carlos Zambrano. Unfortunately for the egg throwers, however, he then thought perpetrators were nicknamed "Gatorade coolers".

DODGERS 7, CUBS 3

The Dodgers come out swinging against Carlos Zambrano in the first inning, with the first five batters not only reaching base (Aaron Miles triple, Casey Blake HBP, Andre Ethier single, Matt Kemp single, Jerry Sands double), but all five also scoring. Hiroki Kuroda was a little shaky in the first inning, conceding two runs of his own, before settling down for a solid outing: 6.2 IP, 9H, 3 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 7 Ks). Miles goes 3-for-5 in the leadoff spot, and Ethier and Kemp both have multi-hit days--and even James Loney gets a single (and two RBI) and goes 1-for-5 to raisehis average to .167 (my God, this is painful; Loney came up with one out in the ninth and a 7-3 lead with the bases loaded...and GIDP. When will this nightmare end?).

Even Jonathan Broxton looked like he had a bit of confidence. After walking Geovany Soto to start the ninth, he gets Blake DeWitt to foul out, Kosuke Fukudome to line to first, and the unfortunately-named Darwin Barney to line to second. Game over. Dodgers improve to 12-11 and head off to Florida for the final three games of this 20-consecutive-game slog.

Dodgers are 4-1 since Liberation; 8-10 to start the year. Might one say the Dodgers, on Easter Sunday, appear to have been "resurrected"?

I don't know if I want the SoSG IT Dept or Lasorda to die more. And not be resurrected.

Are you clicking on the comments link and being redirected to a blank page, DB?

And we're done in SF. Gnats lose! Gnats lose!

@NicJ

Nope. The page load of the main SoSG site gets about 8/10ths of the way through then crashes.

I quickly realized I want Lasorda to die more than anything.

It's not SoSG's fault, DB. It's the "new" Safari that launched with iOS 4.3. It kills a bunch of other sites too.

Bloogle sucks!!!

Interesting, Josh. I hadn't noticed any other sites that were killing mobile Safari. On the other hand, I spend most of my time on SoSG so that doesn't really narrow things down.

Which other sites are illin' on mobile Safari?

ps- Fuck Blogger
pps- Fuck the Gnats!
ppps- Fuck Lasorda!

Is it almost time to begin the call to "free" another first baseman? Maybe re-activate Nomar?

Free Jerry Sands? But he's kind of freed right now.

Loney is worrisome.
