Someday the entire Dodgers lineup is going to show up for a game, and boy, you'd better watch out. The Dodgers' one through five batters went 3 for 20 tonight, while hitters six through eight went 6 for 11. Matt Kemp struck out twice, while Rod Barajas hit a two-run homer. What's up with that? Barajas now has as many home runs (three) as Russell Martin. Although Martin's OPSing 254 points higher....
Ted Lilly was B.O.D. tonight, finally getting past the fifth inning only to cough up the lead by giving up back-to-back homers to Pablo Sandoval and Mike Fontenot. Lilly has not proven to be an innings-eater; he's going to keep the bullpen busy.
It doesn't get easier; free agent-to-be Albert Pujols and the Cards come to Dodger Stadium tomorrow. The Cards pummeled the D'backs 15-5 tonight, so they'll be ready to swing. Lets hope enough Dodgers show up to field a complete lineup.

They are all important. When you look back at the end of the year. In April they all look so unimportant.
Unfortunately for this team, I don't think we'll be looking back and thinking, "Fuck, we should have won that series against the Cards in April."
We'll be thinking, "Wow, I had no idea James Loney could have -5 home runs."

Okay maybe until July. Don't want to get all crazy with my August baseball talk.
I know it's the Cards, and the hate for them runs deep, but it's still April, and if we start to think all these games are important, we'll only end up with more holes in our walls.

Thanks NHFL. Truth is I haven't been to Magic Mountain in at least eight years, but I'd be psyched to go. They have had gang-fight issues for twenty years now though, as far as I can recall.
And I'm not sensitive. I'm just...highly attuned to my emotions, that's all.
Crazy cool stat for the night: this was Kemp's second game of the year without a hit.
