Today's game definitely sounds like a travel postcard (and not just because ol' Sax here spent the last four days relaxing at a picturesque beach resort). Welcome to Los Angeles, home of hot (Jerry) Sands and (Brandon) Beachy environs! These two newbies should be the story tonight at the Ravine, what with Sands Storm Mania sweeping the dunes of Dodgertown, and Beachy having broken into the Braves' starting rotation just under a month ago.
And did we mention Beachy was born in Kokomo (Indiana), a similarly-named city to a dangerously catchy Beach Boys song from a thoroughly forgettable Tom Cruise movie? So I guess the question is, will the Dodgers repeat their offensive performance of last night: get there fast, and then they'll take it slow?
