Three-plus years, a million page loads and a hundred followers ago, we were just a bunch of Dodger fans scattered around the country. Now, we're a bunch of Dodger fans scattered around the country — with a blog! Although we've been lucky enough to see the Dodgers make the playoffs for three of the four years of our existence, I'm most thankful for the community of readers that has grown on this site. We haven't coined the "SoSG Bar" nickname for nothing — this truly feels like the Dodger blog where everybody knows your name. So thank you, readers — commenters and lurkers alike — for joining us. Here's to more cheering, cursing, yuks, arcane references and general madness in 2010. Sláinte!

Thank you Sons and friends of Sons for a great 2009! I came here for the interesting posts about the Dodgers, but I stay for the drunkenness and moderately attractive spokeswomen!
My New Year's resolution will be to go to more Dodger games this year, including a trip to LA. It would be cool to meet some of you at a game.
Have a great night everybody and see you in 2010!
*pops the bubbly early*
Here's to more sexy times!
Not only does everyone know your name at SOSG, but where else can you get Dodgers, Star Wars, Simpsons, and archaic Medevil refereces all under one roof?
My 2010 resolution is to see a SOSG night at the Stadium this year.
Be safe out there tonight folks.
We don't have to wait long for next year. Merry New Year one and all!
Thank YOU, Orel (and ALL of the sons) for the daily dose of entertainment, enjoyment and enlightenment!
Just bought my plane ticket to Arizona for Spring Training and will be online at 9am Thursday to get tickets to the games at Camelback! Woo Hoo!
And...pitchers and catchers report in about 6 weeks?!! Oh yeah!!
Counting the days...
HAPPY NEW Year!
Happy New Year up in dis bish!
@FB- Be sure to look me/us up on your sojourn to LA in 2010.
@Dr. Geek- I'm too sexy for the blog...too sexy for this blog.
@Neeebs re SoSG night- I volunteer to help plan.
If someone would have told me a few years ago that there was a place I could go to talk smack about Dodgers, make obscure Simpsons, Star Wars, Beastie Boys, and Jack In The Box advertisement references, all in one place, I would have guessed it was either ComicCon or the insane asylum. Now I know there's SoSG, which, upon reflection, may be a combination of both. And that's a good thing.
Hopefully the SoSG bar is already open because some Bloody Marys are in order before I head over to heckle Ohio State fans in Old Pasadena this morning.
To the good people who run this blog: thanks again for all your efforts and hard work in 2009. So appreciate the puzzles, the game threads, the PGTs (both the HFYPGT and the GDMFPGT varieties), the odd media and advertising critique, and most of all the welcome place for us band of Blue brothers and sisters.
Cheers, everyone!
ps-RB, can you pick up this round? I left my credit card at Lucky Baldwin's last night and don't have any cash.
Congrats gentlemen on the fantastic job you guys do.

An invaluable use of modern technology:
http://pitchersandcatchersreport.com/
Use it wisely! And happy new year to you. Enjoy AZ.
Thank the Sons for providing the only platform for me to truly expresss my snarky baseball knowledge without looking like a weirdo in front of non-fanatics. Here's to more years of success both on the diamond and on the server!
@ Dusty
When I read the word "insane" in your post, I thought you were going to make a reference to Juggalo Lif.
I am glad you did not.
Another great year for the blog! Thanks, guys!
I accidentally typed "inane" at first; clearly a Freudian slip.
Count me in for any and all SoSG nights at the Stadium. I'll have my frequent flier miles on standby for the trip(s) into LAX.
And Dusty, I've always thought of you as "inane."
Happy New Year SoSG bar regulars!
If a SOSG night happens, do you think we could get Flo and/or Deltalina to be at the event?
Thanks for all that you do, Sons. Keep up the great work next year. Go Blue!
@Jason-
Inane in the membrane!
Mazel tov, gentlemen!
Here's to another year under the belt.
We'll get back to "Inane in the brain" tomorrow, but it's time to party like the court of Charles II, if you know what I mean.
MC: I hope you're talking Charles II of Spain, because that Court could rock.
@Neeebs
Carlos II was more interested in holding autos-de-fé than holding his liquor.
Charles Stewart's crowd is more my speed, and there's less inbreeding, so that's a bonus.
@ Mr. C
Like I always say, Fun with cousins!
Per a Tweet from Ken Gurnick:
"The Dodgers have opened discussions on a multi-year contract with Matt Kemp; agent said Kemp might prefer to go year to year"
That doesn't bode well (or am I being too negative, Karina?). Kemp not wanting a long deal could easily mean that he wants to go short and test big deal options later instead of being locked in - entirely understandable. But it could also mean he is skeptical about Dodgers' viability in the medium to long term and wants to leave himself an out.
Thanks to the Sons and all the followers for distracting me during the work day. Enjoy your scotch wisely tonight. Happy New Year to all!
New post up top about just that, DB.
I presume the new post is far more insightful than my inane comments!
^ Yep, they were.
But the new post isn't nearly as fun as your avatar, Dusty. I hope that's a preview of your New Year's party!
@ Orel-
It's a major award!
I wanna party with Dusty!
If you could see the spread we've laid out tonight...made yet another full turkey and dressing dinner (cause Tgiving and Xmas weren't enough, clearly)...still have holiday beverages on...champipple cooling...and two blocks south of the Rose Parade route. Oh, and American tackle football on the telly.
As always, anyone is welcome!
That's doin' it right!
I want to go to there.
Thanks SOSG crew, for always being creative and often being the funniest damn Dodger blog around. Best wishes for 2010.
Cheers to the first post in the next dodgers championship year!
2010 we reclaim our place!
It will be great to watch Los Angeles Dodgers, i have bought tickets from
http://ticketfront.com/event/Los_Angeles_Dodgers-tickets looking forward to it.
