- It's going to be a long winter. Dylan Hernandez of the LA Times tweets:
The Dodgers aren't offering arbitration to any of their free agents, according to team spokesman Josh Rawitch.
andAmong the FAs not offered arb by the Dodgers are Type A FAs Wolf and Hudson, and Type Bs Belliard, Garland, Mota, Ohman and Padilla.
- The good news? Vin Scully is official for 2010 (Dodgers.com).
- In the SoSG realm, Team Deltalina
currently leadshas pounded Team Flo byfourseven (!) players.

ugh - that is so stupid
This is worse news than Team Flo getting slapped around! Arbitration for none of them? Seriously, we're that strapped for cash? This divorce is going to give me an ulcer.
Isn't arbitration, like, not real money? Especially when the Type As are locks not to accept?
Draft picks? Who needs draft picks?
jeez this is making me mad and has soured the Team Deltalina game 1 victory
If we use the draft picks, we'll have to pay them! Could this divorce last that long?
So good move, Frank?
(buries face in hands)
Eh. At this point, the Vin signing was the best move the team could have made. With him in the booth, they can put uniforms on mannequins and throw them out there and the game will still be satisfying.
Aren't the kids on the team supposed to see a raise? What happens with that?
we're so screwed. damn you mccourts!
This is wrong for so many reasons. I would call this move shortsighted, but that would be giving it a positive spin.
So far in the 2009 post-season, our only major signing remains Ned Colletti. We're fucked; royally.
Well, Ned Colletti and a team of divorce lawyers.
This type of thinking has to drive Logan White nuts. With the thinned out ranks of the minors due to well deserved promotions (Kemp, Loney, Kershaw, etc, etc, etc...) and trades (Carlos Santana, ugh) there is no way he wouldn't jump at every first round and/or sandwich pick he could get his hands on.
Christ, this kind of sh*t is getting real depressing real fast. Especially after reading DT's other thread basically lying to himself to be ok with the Dodgers not offering arbitration to Hudson.
I say, let's round up a mob and head over to Charing Cross and cement over that olympic size pool.
This is ridiculous. There is no way Hudson or Wolf agrees to arbitration.
The only reason I think a team would NOT want 4 high draft picks is their unwillingness to pay their bonuses once drafted. Did we become the Marlins overnight?
I want to fucking shoot myself now. Only thing keeping me from spiralling into a Blue depression, a homeless life of heroin abuse followed by a bizarre gardening accident is the fact that I can keep looking at FB's avatar and laughing my ass off.
Saw this on twitter from dodger thoughts: "I'm also expecting Dodgers to non-tender "Don't Stop Believin'"
Argh this is making me madder this morning. What was the risk here? The worst thing that happens is that they accept and you end up with two holes filled in your lineup with very good players for a little more than you want to pay. Worst case scenario, Randy would revert to the injured, mediocre, HR-happy Randy we all knew before last season and Orlando would re-break his wrist in spring training, but that risk is no different than anybody else we might bring in
This is dumber than the Rock of Love bus after some whippits
Excellent simile FB.
In other news; The Lost Angels offered Lackey and Figgins arbitration. Just imagine the Angels with those Yankee and Met draft picks. They non-tendered Oliver and Guerrero to no one's surprise.
