SoSG Readers Lay It On The Line For Game 5

Well, the Dodgers are in a must-win situation, in the final home game for the NLCS. And SoSG readers aren't taking this lying down...

First, neeebs sends in another shot of the magic gloves (not sure why there's a pink foam finger rather than the traditional blue):

And second, Quadsevens, who will be at Game 5 in person, sends in the Rafael Furcal bobblehead prize he received as the runner-up of the PCS Season 1. Here comes the (miniature) hotstepper, indeed:

Last time the magic gloves were worn (on the appropriate hands) the Dodgers went on an eight game winning streak. This time, we only need seven games.

And, btw, Pink is the new blue. Ok, the hand model prefers pink. Go figure.

On my desktop wallpaper, Manny is stepping to the plate. It would be great to see that happening with the hotstepper on base tonight.

I don't think this ever got posted, but I did make a video of the Golden Moments flip book. Hopefully there will be some Golden Moments tonight! Go Dodgers!

Steve:

I LOVE THAT VIDEO. Something magical about it. But, there's a gap between swing and fist pump.

Maybe a redo is in order.

Good job.

Awesome video, Steve.

Great wallpaper Quad (however, i've got "here comes the hotstepper" stuck in my head)

Unfortunately, that's the way the flip book actually jumps. The whole thing is a whopping 25 pages (did you really expect more from a Dodger giveaway?) That means there aren't enough pages for the entire run around the bases or for Tommy running in from the dugout.

By the way, today is the 20th anniversary of that game. Maybe tonight Kent will hobble out in the bottom of the ninth to pinch hit and knock one out off of Lidge to win it...

If we are in need of Kent coming in at the ninth inning to win the game off Lidge, then...we are in trouble.

I would prefer a good old fashioned, ass whooping. 7-2 Dodgers sounds good.

Don't get me wrong, I'd much prefer to have the Dodgers with in a 13-4 Tampa-style rout!
