I have never gone from such heights of elation to such depths of depression in such a short time. It this what it's like to be bipolar?
Wow. That game was like a roller coaster that had the end of its track cut off. Highs, lows, excitement and a terrible finish. Our bullpen picked a bad time to have an off day.I hope they pick themselves up on wednesday. I'll be at that game.
You know, that was the second game in the series that could have gone either way. Game 1 was close, but for a few bad pitches we would have won it. This one was also close, but for a few bad substitutions we would have won it. That will make the difference in the series, if Philly advances.Still, it's depressing as heck, but the way the ball bounced on those two games is just baseball. We didn't get the breaks tonight.I am still so proud of our Dodgers, battling here in the middle of October when no one else thought they could be here in the first place. It's hard to be too depressed for very long.Let's get out there and play with pride in Game 5, Bills. Win that one, and anything can happen.
Hey quad, did you ever get your Raffy bobblehead?
I'll never forget tonight's game. It was terrible. But we might as well sit back and enjoy Game 5. Game 5 WILL BE the beginning of the greatest comeback in Dodger playoff history!!!
Your mouth. God's ears.
I did get it Sax. I plan on taking some pics of it tomorrow and sending them in to you guys.
The mood at dodger stadium in the reserve section was electric. But then in the 8th, someone pulled the plug. It was a very quiet car ride home.
Orel, you said it. That game was amazing at times and utterly heartbreaking just moments later. I have to say, I really felt that we were in for trouble when Russell left the bases loaded. So many, many opportunities lost...just gotta shake it off tomorrow and get ready for Game 5!!
I heard from a stringer that the post-game radio show said "the locker room was deathly silent." Dodgers' practice tomorrow (before the media), which was publicized in a press release during the game, was canceled.
I heard from a stringer that the post-game radio show said "the locker room was deathly silent."Except for the faint and continual sound of choking ...
What a crappy day!!!!!!!!!Tough day at the office.Leave early (lose money), fight traffic. Cockiness in the seventh, looking for the booze in the eighth.Rush to play ice hockey. My team blows a 4-2 lead with 5 minutes to play, suffering our first loss in five games.Break my $100 stick that was used in only 20 games.Get home late.Wake up early this morning.Sucks to be me.
Best part of the night: Seeing Orel Hershiser throw the first pitch!!!! Yeah! What a treat!
