I love Vin, so much.
The way he can wrap his vivid description of Don Zimmer, including a personal story and ending with a wonderfully poignant eulogy, amidst a baseball game in progress--is truly remarkable. It's like listening to your uncle or grandfather tell you a story, while you sneak watching the game on tv out of the corner of your eye (while trying not to seem disrespectful); except this story is actually really good and deserves your full attention, and even still, you're not missing anything in the game itself!
Vin Scully is a national treasure.
well said, Saxy
Is Vin in Denver tonight? Probably not. It doesn't feel right if he doesn't pause to say something about D Day. Maybe they will play an old clip
Watching this clip now
It's amazing how innings always last perfectly long so that Vin can finish his stories
