This season has truly turned into an American Horror Story. The Noffense continues to be a bane; the once-stolid bullpen has been cursed; and the outfield has turned into a witches brew of injuries, poor play, shifting positions, and bruised egos.
To top it all off, not one but two players went down to hip injuries in yesterday's game. Namely, the two players who have provided much of the offensive spark (when it actually burned) during the season so far - Gordon and Puig. It's as if a dark priestess (surely associated with the Giants) broke out a voodoo doll and started poking the hip area (Gordon and Puig), the ankle area (Crawford), and the butt area (Kemp, because he seems ass-hurt).
At this point, many are calling for Donnie to be burned at the stake. Perhaps he needs to Coven another team meeting to try to bring this lethargic, talented yet seemingly uninspired bunch back from the dead.
Let's hope Kershaw reveals himself as the Supreme today.
