Dan Haren (6-4, 3.49) vs. Josh Collmenter (4-3, 3.65).
Bob Welch's funeral is today, so before we start getting into ERAs and lineups and stuff like that, let's take a moment to savor "Learning to Pitch" by Rachel Toor (SB Nation), a wonderful and honest remembrance of Toor's relationship with a baseball great who didn't act like most baseball greats.
Like Kershaw before him, Haren lost his latest start against the Snakes and is looking to set things right and get the Dodgers a second straight victory at home, which would certainly qualify as some modern-day record for this team.
Stat of the night: Kemp is OPsing 1.286 against Collmenter lifetime (which apparently consists of 7 ABs in 2011).
