Our Next Opponent: The Power Ranking #1 Team, Detroit

Great. We're just trying to get acclimated back to home cookin', and our next guest is the Detroit Tigers, owners of ESPN.com's lead spot in the latest Power Rankings (April 7). Says ESPN about the Tigers:

The Tigers wrapped up a successful first homestand, going 4-1. Torii Hunter swung a hot bat, slugging home runs in three consecutive games. Something to keep an eye on: Tigers relievers have allowed nine runs over five games, and they've all come in the ninth inning.

More good news for us: our series with the Tigers is another one of those ridiculous two-game series (the Giants, meanwhile, get an April interleague opponent of the .500 Indians). Plus, we face two nobodies in Max Scherzer and Anibal Sanchez, the former of whom is so unwanted, he doesn't even have a contract locked up! This series has to be a layup for us.

I'll be there tomorrow, hoping they can dirty Sanchez's record.
