Dan Haren vs. Tyson Ross.
Haren makes his Dodger debut tonight, coming off a spring training session vs. the Angels that was a little bit underwhelming (six runs over two innings). With the news that ace Clayton Kershaw could be out for a month, we're going to need Haren to get out to a quick start in April. The Dodgers haven't lost a series-closing game all year, however, so at least he's got that.
Meanwhile, the Padres start Ross, who is known for his plus slider. I haven't seen exactly what a plus slider is, so I just may have to take a closer look...

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Kids, we just got tickets to opening day...who is going? Let's hang for a beer at the new bars!
I really want to be excited about this season.
In trying to find a cause for my malaise, I find the clusterfuck that is TWC (and in part, Dodger ownership's need to recoup on their investment) at the core.
In other news; I'll be driving to Vegas tonight, so I'll have Vinny on the radio. . .for 3 innings.
let's get ready to rumble
unga bunga!
I'm in the ticket queue at Petco Park.
Lots of Dodgers fans here!
Cmon, Danny, take advantage of the chance you've got here. 1 good season now and you are set til you'e 40
oof 4-43 for Hanley, AGon and Dre
Leadoff double for CC
That's how you bunt your way on, Dee
Challenge zzzzzzzzzzz
ZzzzzzzzzZzZZZZ
woohoo mofos!
3-0 blue
Ellis gets rung up. Boo
Dee gets on with a one out walk, and steals second
Let's go Puig. Take Ross out here.
so we've got our 3 runs. I thought the batters were instructed to swing through everything until the end of the game
Rancho ardiendo
rats
HanRam does not look good this year
nice work, Dan
heh nice work, Dre
AJ Ks to end the inning
1. Score early.
2. Drop into the fetal position.
3. Pray you don't get kicked in the face.
Sound strategy.
Nice work, Dan
I'm considering driving down to Tacoma to see the Isotopes open their AAA season tomorrow night. Do I have a baseball problem? Or should I just say I'm going for the beer?
Now that we've covered our face, it's time they start kicking us in the kidneys
@Jason, looks like it'll be pretty rainy tomorrow night
so you may as well just go to a bar in Tacoma
Here's where Smeth hits another homer
this feels like that stupid inning of Grienke's last night
booooolshit
Headley
balls
3-1 good guys after the Alonso single, soon to be 3-2 with a runner still at 3rd with less than 2 outs
Lucky K of Gyorko
Here's your chance to get out of this
phew
that might have scored 2
AJ having a hard time with the ump tonight
ugh, Alonso steals second without a play
there is it, attaboy Danny
50% chance of rain. I should use you as a meteorologist more often, FB.
isn't there always a 50% chance of rain in Tacoma?
Hanley draws the walk
Hanley stealing for some reason.
That's it, get your most valuable hitter injured on the basepaths
Hanley should steal. Ball players are all becoming pansys
Dre up with Hanley at 3rd after the groundout to first by AGon
attaboy, Dre
MLB.tv bonked out before the hit
was it a cheapy or was it a real hit?
What's up all? Someone say bar?
I said bar.
I also said taco(ma).
@FB
It was a clean line drive to right just over the glove of Jerk off.
Did the Dodger feed go down? It doesn't seem to be working on MLB.tv but the Padre feed seems fine
Harren looks thinner. Or did the crappy uniforms of the past add 10 pounds?
@Paul - thanks
I'm getting the Dodger feed on Direct tv right now.
Nice pitching.
and I just discovered that you can choose "ballpark sound" for the audio. A few murmuring San Diego fans is so much better than any non-Vinny announcers
OK Paul, you gotta hold it down here. I need some bed
Later FB.
Angels fans are on suicide watch.
Dodger feed on Direct TV how? MLB Extra Innings?
@FB (if you're still up) - No problem with the SNLA feed on MLB.tv all night. Oddly, I'm having problems with Google Maps though as I try to figure out the quickest route from my office to Tacoma just in case the rain holds off tomorrow.
That was an... odd swing.
Kneecap! Ouch!
Cubs and Pirates just passed the 14th inning stretch
Paco is a true LOOGY now
Echo...
... echo
@Nomo
Yeah. I didn't think I would even get the feed with Extra Innings and would be stuck with the other team's feed only.
Of course once the game is done the channel disappears from existence.
Like FB, I've lost my MLB.tv feed. It's like trying watch a dial-up video circa 1997. Or like watching on Spank's OG PC today.
G'night all!
Winz!
