A-Gon awoke from his slumber to cannonball the Snakes with 5 RBI (3-4). He jack-knifed a HR out the Yard in the first inning, and the Dodgers never looked back. A lot of bats got in on the action, in fact. Gordon stayed hot going 2-4 with some key hits, and HanRam went 3-4 scoring three runs. Hard to say whether the boys were on the top of their game or if Dbags starting pitcher Brandon McCarthy was just all wet (or both).
But the offense wasn't all of the story. Ryu pitched a masterpiece*, bouncing back nicely from his last outing. He went 7 innings with 8 strikeouts, at one time having retired 10 in a row. He only allowed two hits and one walk. Let's hope he's rounded into a form we can count on the whole season.
