Unexpectedly, Dee Gordon hit a home run tonight — off Max Scherzer. Unexpectedly, Dan Haren outpitched Scherzer. Unexpectedly, Kenley Jansen blew the save. Unexpectedly, Joba Chamberlain struck out the side in the bottom of the ninth. Unexpectedly, the Dodgers rallied in extras to beat an AL team.
Tonight's walkoff hero was Carl Crawford, whose 10th-inning RBI double drove in Chone Figgins. Game 2 (of 2) is tomorrow, followed by another off-day. Can we retroactively apply all this rest to Clayton Kershaw's aching back?

WOOP!
Kenley's been a little off in the early going. He seems to have his velocity, plus a little more maybe, but his control seems off at times
I really want to see the video of Kenley striking out Miggy. It sounded amazing.
I don't think Miggy was ready for 98 mph fastballs. He looked behind on all three.
Maybe it's just because I've never seen Joba pitch before, but his arm moved so fast it looked like it was going to fly off his body.
