Hiroki Kuroda (6-11, 3.13) vs. John Lannan (6-6, 3.62).
This is the story of a skinny young man who was chaysing fame and fortune when he was first drafted by the Orioles in 1997. He played two years in Toronto, and then was trayded to the Dodgers, where he showed some promise before getting hit on the wrist by an Ay J Burnett pitch, causing an injury that playgued him all season.
And so this young man moved on to the Phillies and blossomed over four years, winning a World Series and even mayking it to the All Star Gayme. So he picked up some swagger, along with a lot of faycial hair on a once-nayked chin, and parlayed his success into a crayzy seven-year, $126M deal with the woeful Nationals. And in his first year in Washington, this player is now batting .218, or 47 points below his career average. And the Nationals are now 13.5 games out of the divisional race...just like the Dodgers.
We Sons want to tayke a moment to say, welcome back to Chavez Ravine, Jayson!
