From Tuesday's WSJ:
Hiroki Kuroda of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Doug Fister of the Seattle Mariners have one request for the second half of the baseball season: a little more run support. Both pitchers are on pace to lose 18 games this season despite putting up first-half ERAs that are just above 3. No pitcher has lost that many games and finished with that low an ERA since Phil Niekro, who went 19-18 with a 2.88 ERA for the 1978 Braves.

And a tongue scraper.
Someone had Cheetos for lunch.
But Nekro still won NINETEEN!
Clearly, we're living in the age of the no decision.

Did he just down a container of Tang or what?
Every year it seems the team picks a guy and decides not to give him any run support. Since D. Lowe it happens to one pitcher every year.
Niekro Please...
Heh, CVF. Nice one.
@DB: Oh, he downed some 'tang alright.
Fuck Saxy! COME HITHER,LAURE!
@Josh
I struggled mightily with that wording. Knew it would evoke a reaction, so I'm glad you jumped on it.
What kind of cookie does Kuroda have in his mouth?
Nilla Wafer?
