Frank McCourt Will Not Let Manny Go Homeless

Even with falling housing prices, the Los Angeles area remains an expensive real estate market relative to Boston. But Frank McCourt will make sure that new acquisition Manny Ramirez will not go homeless! From the Albany Times-Union (no link; reportedly published 8/3):

How happy is Los Angeles Dodgers owner Frank McCourt to have Manny Ramirez in left field?

"As far as I'm concerned, Manny can stay in my guest house," McCourt joked in a reference to new Los Angeles Angel Mark Teixeira reportedly staying in agent Scott Boras' guest house. McCourt should be happy. If Ramirez hits the way he normally hits, the three-way trade that sent Ramirez to Los Angeles and Jason Bay from Pittsburgh to Boston very easily could decide two division races.

I wonder if former Red Sox player Nomar Garciaparra got a similar sort of privileged treatment from the McCourts when he was signed. I hope Manny negotiated use of the McCourt's car as well.

Heck, if he keeps hitting two home runs every three games, I'll let Manny use my car.

Steve, if you lend Manny your car, i'm willing to pay for the gas...

Remember Karina, gas here is $4/gallon, not 12 cents/gallon.

I know, Eric but being the big bat Dodgers need to go into postseason is priceless...
