Finally, Martin leading off...just when he's hitting the wall. Great.
Torre is nothing if not a master of timing.
Comedy. Seriously, Torre loves to pull pranks on us.
Hello folks.
Two on, one out for Jeffy.
One out two on according to game day. If it's running behind don't tell me what's going to happen.
Hi Orel. Kent has a chance to do some damage with RISP. Although I no longer consider a runner to be in scoring position until he's at least half-way between 3rd and home.
Was that a double-steal?
Double steal on strike three to Kent?
Unintentional IBB to Kemp?
Rancho Ardiendo. I have a bad feeling about this....
Rancho Ardiendo. Go, King James!
Gameday is fritzy. Did we score?
Not yet.
Hello Karina and accompanying Gnome. Let's hope Loney un-ardiendos the rancho!
I like the hopeful use of the word 'yet'
Yup, same ol' Dodgers.
Although I guesss 'not yet' could mean tomorrow
No, they didn't score.
Another trifecta of LOBs, baby.
I bet the D'backs score this inning.
Where is Booger and his caps lock fury?
I bet they don't even get a guy on base.
It's always hopeful, as in this current game. And tomorrow, and the day after that.
I think the Dodgers will win today.
You win, EK.
They may have lost 9 of their last 10, but they're way too talented to lose 10 of 11.
Woo hoo!
Wow I couldn't even do #1 fast enough to not miss the top of the 2nd.
If my memory is correct, Davis pitched great just before his cancer surgery against Dodgers. Next start, which i guess it was on Dodger Stadium, he lost.
So, maybe they could win this game.
I can't verify that Karina but I generally take what you say as fact.
Another 1-2-3 inning for Kuroda
Right now my attention between following this on GameDay and watching 'Dan In Real Life' on TV is split about 50-50.
Son Martin singled!
Thanks for your confidence, Eric. What is "Dan in the real life"?
Ethier GIDP.
Manny singled.
It's a movie with Steve Carell
single
DP
single
great timing
But now I've changed the TV to an american football game
Have either of you seen the movie 'Tell No One'?
Nope.
Hiroki's faced minimum thru 3
Good Kuroda showed up. Now, he needs some clutch.
Well you should see it Karina so you can explain it to me.
According to FoxSports, the Dodgers have 34% chance to make the playoffs. Rest of the article:

Ok, link of that movie, Eric?
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0362225/
I'm reading about that movie on imdb.com
I think Mrs. Orel saw "Tell No One."
It was really good, but I bet it would have been even better if I understood anything past the first 30 minutes
Oh yes? What did Mrs. Orel think? I just got back from seeing it an hour ago
I'm intrigued about that film. I should look for it.
Back to back fly-outs, back to back singles, Kuroda's turn, he grounded out. *Sigh*
Davis has given up 5 hits and a couple of walks and they haven't scored. Please someone call Maury Willis to give everyone in the roster classes of bunting, since they can't hit with men on base. End of the rant.
Young broke the no-no of Kuroda.
EK, Mrs. Orel said it was good but wondered if it would have gotten made in the States.
There goes the perfecto.
Dunn and his RBI double. Eric, could you translate this:
"en el beisbol, lo que no haces te lo hacen"
Dunn doubles in a run. 1-0 D'backs.
It'd be something like "In baseball, what you don't do, they will do it to you"
This is not fair for Kuroda.
"In baseball, what you don't do, they do to you"
yes - who said that, Karina?
Yours was a better translation. It's a saying, like Rancho Ardiendo or La Via de la Verguenza.
"in the baseball, which beams do not do it to you"
Is Borat helping you with that translation, Orel?
Actually the best translation is probably "In baseball, what you don't do is done to you"
Hopefully the Dodgers won't get nueve arepa-d today
La Via de la Verguenza: an 1-3 grounder out.
Hey! you remember every venezuelan baseball expression. Congrats!
Ethier singled. Manny: in play (no outs)
I'm going to bed after this inning whether or not we score
Rancho Ardiendo again.
Only one out this time.
DODGERS SCORE
DODGERS SCORE
Go King James!
Dodgers 2-Dbacks 1
ocho arepas y un palo!
Now I'm making up my own venezuelan expressions
Ok, good night everyone!
Just wondereing if anyone would answer a question about Jeff Kent? Now that he's struggling is he going to say it's because he's 40, just like his reply about the Vin Scully comment.
Que descanses, Eric! Loving your venezuelan expressions.
Hideous Garciaparra throw. It should had been a double play.
Announcers at The Strike Zone Channel:
The Dodgers are discovering new ways to lose games.
No outs. Men in scoring position. Jeff Salazar pinch-hitting for Davis.
Dodgers are starting to give this game away with errors again. Where's our stellar defense when we need it?
Game tied. Rancho Ardiendo for the Dbacks. No outs.
Dodgers 2-DBacks 4.
Melvin was ejected but i don't know why.
Juan for four at the plate. 100 appearances this season...
Pierre strikes out.
Announcer at Strike Zone Channel: Juan Pierre, the player with most hits in the last four season, now he's a bench player in the Dodgers.
I wonder how people get paid to talk about baseball.
Stace, I don't see Kent making his age an excuse. He's getting paid $9 million this year, after which he'll retire. He'll end his career on a bad note if he complains about being an old man. Which he is.
I know this will be his last year. But why is it when Vin Scully compliments him on improving his average by hitting in front of Manny he says that at the age of 40 he has experience, but now when he's struggling where's his experience? He needs to step up and walk the talk.
Hey guys.
Melvin was ejected arguing a fan interference call. Loney went sliding to try to catch Conor Jackon's foul pop-up, and a fan leaned over and caught it instead. The ump called Jackson out on fan interference, and Melvin yelled about it for a while.
I only heard it on the radio, and I just got home and have yet to see a replay, so I don't know what it looked like, but Steiner said the fan obviously leaned over.
My bible verse for the day says it all for the Dodgers today "... be on alert, stand firm in faith, act like men, be strong." 1 Corinthians 16:13.
I hope it works for them!
Funny you mention it stace, since when I was in the car listening to the game on the radio, I yelled, "Come on Dodgers! You're men! Act like it!"
Blake with an RBI double.
Amen, Stace.
and Erin...
Erin, i don't like your Red Sox tonight.
Kemp singles, proving his talent: a bad swing, a broken bat and if Ojeda wasn't on the right position and made a great jump, it could have been a double.
Loney GIDP.
#100!
Sorry about the Red Sox, Karina.
Not sorry enough to hope they lose for you the rest of the weekend, though.
I'm torn because of the Dodgers/White Sox games tonight.
Erin, it's not personal. Sports fandom is sacred.
Orel was missing you and your caps, Booger.
Francisco Rodriguez and his 52 saves...i'm proud!
What is going on with Nomar? Is he rushing himself too much? Our defense has let us down this whole roadtrip. Actually everything has let us down this roadtrip!!!
Yeah, i had a prior engagement. I rushed to see the game. What a huge mistake that was.
Its probably my fault they are losing
This team is pretty pathetic. the last time they were this awful was when Brad Penny & Kenny Lofton started fighting. Ph, and last year too.
Suckweeney depresses me.
Wow, just get home and this game is REDUNKULOUS. Ugh, Now it is 9-3 AZ. WTF? Where the hell did our heart go? Are we the new cubs with a curse?
I'm going to bed. Can't stand to hear about another one getting away. I don't think we ever had this game in our sites. Hopefully tomorrow is another chanch! yeah, right!
Bad News Bears, LA edition.
Wow, they didn't score with the bases loaded. I was sure that Johnson was going to give up at least 2. Small and meaningless victories.
With this team, we'll just have to take the small triumphs.
Ok Manny hit a 7 run home run right here...you can do it!
Manny double. 2 outs.
Manny can flat out rake. Unfortunately everyone else is using a shovel to dig our graves.
G A M E O V E R. 4.5 games out. This sucks. I am crying blue tears.
edit: blue tears made of blue blood. My favorite men keep on breaking my heart.
