SoSG Guest Writer Series: Greedo?
Well unfortunately I don't have much insightful to say so I will try to cloud
that fact with a gimmick like writing backwards. I do a similar thing at work
when I have nothing insightful to say at meetings, but I've noticed that in
a work setting talking backwards isn't always considered professional. At least, that's what the HR folks at each of my last seven jobs told me anyways.
I see at least that De La Rosa has a pretty crappy ERA so hopefully
we win. Go, Dodgers!
Day game at Dodger Stadium! I'll be there, in the first few rows of loge, working on my tan.
Kemp, CF
Ethier, RF
Garciaparra, SS
Ramirez, LF

Have fun roasting, Erin!
Well done, Rob.
Orel, I'm flattered you think it was Greedo, but it was me. Please forgive my poor grammar, I am still learning Huttese.
Greedo speaks Rodian. RODIAN!
That is his native tongue, yes, but he is also fluent in Huttese. And isn't his most famous quote "Koona t'chuta" in Huttese?
The former lead singer of Rage Against the Machine is pitching for the Rockies.
If there were only some kind of online resource we could consult, EK.
Lowe gives up a leadoff single.
Barmes steals second. We better not get swept by the Rockies.
Man, that guy got such a jump off Lowe for that SB.
Season is over if we lose today. It's that important. Arizona is winning when it matters, and we're just not.
Loney pulls a Buckner! E-3!
Two games, five errors and counting....
Four more errors tonight?
My heart agrees with you, Erin, but my head does not.
My spleen has no comment.
A sweep of the Phils, followed by a series win over the Brewers. Those were big, and we should have continued that run. Instead, we lose a series to the Rockies (with a sweep very possible) and head to Philly at least two back.
My head wants to believe, too, and will continue to until the playoffs are mathematically impossible. But my heart is losing faith, mostly because the team hasn't been showing any of their own heart the last two games. I know it's just two games, but it's two we should have had.
I don't know, though. Maybe they'll surprise us in Philly.
Dodgers go meekly in the first.
It's baffling how this team completely folds against NL West opponents, regardless of record. We are 1-4 against the NL West in the past two weeks.
Martin takes strike three with Manny on first.
I'll tel you what's hard to watch--Martin struggling at the plate while Torre continues to insist Martin isn't tired (despite getting into all but three games this season). Martin didn't take the bat off his shoulders in that at-bat. De La Rosa (and his 6.04 ERA) look untouchable thus far.
Snoop Dogg is in the house!
"Toe dance by Loney!" —Vin
Keith Olbermann, Snoop Dogg...they're all the same.
Snoop is down in Dugout Club, though, so I won't be chatting with him.
You should flash him one of your White Girl Gang Signs.
One booted ball deserves another.
There goes the perfect game, but we're still getting no-hit.
This feels like a 1-0 one-hit victory for the Rockies.
Sure does, Orel. My battery is dying, so this is my last comment. Hopefully the Dodgers get to De La Rosa, and soon.
nooo Erin don't gooooo...
Manny hustle!
ManRam SB!
DODGERS SCORE DODGERS SCORE
Casey Blake GIDP. 1-1 tie.
The Kemp-Ethier combination is a winner! (Although Ethier got thrown out at second to end the inning.)
2-1 Dodgers.
Hello everyone, just turned on the game before I goto work. Seems too close for comfort.
wow, that was quick. Another DP.
Too close for comfort? All the Dodgers need is a one-run lead! Why just last night...oh wait, never mind.
Yeah - free James Loney with the bomb.
LONEY BOMB! Insurance! 3-1 Dodgers!
AFLAC!
What insurance is that, Yogi?
Matt Holliday is a stud.
Martin didn't hustle after that ball at all. Maybe he is tired.
Broxton throwing gas! Dodgers win!
Woohoo!!! We win!!! GO Blue! Now off to work.
