Your Perfect Lunchtime Activity: Euro 2008

That's right: Turkey vs. Swiss. It's on, right now, and it's piping hot. Is Quizno's sponsoring this match?

Who's Hungary?

UPDATE 1:55p PT: Hot Turkey found holes in melting Swiss, 2-1.

Swiss, but they're tied...

but Turkey scored in the minute 92, so i guess it's better Turkey, only for today.

Rye do these ridiculous posts make me laugh?

Orel said...

Thanks, Karina. You're my hero!

Eric Karros said...

Orel, if we continue bacon such bad puns, Sax might not lettuce comment on his posts anymore.

Sandwich may not be such a bad thing...

That's right folks, at SoSG we'll stoop to the lowest level of humor allowed by slaw.

Ok, I'm out. I will add however that this post should be rocking the 'Cheeses of the World' label.

thanks, Orel, it's great to know i did something useful today (still sick), though Eric Karros hates it.

Orel said...

Don't worry, EK was making fun of Sax and me, not you.

Maybe it's time to see a doctor?

Steve Sax said...

EK, thanks for reminding me of the "cheeses of the world" label! Better Late Than Never, or shall I say, BLT-N!

I went to the doctor (my aunt) and it seems i've got a very bad flu :(

Mi querida Karina, as Orel said I was making fun of him and Sax, definitely not you! If I said something inadvertantly, te pido disculpas.

Anyhow sorry to hear you are sick, my magic message to Furcal applies to you too!

And to go back to the original subject of this post: Switzerland did indeed lose 2-1 to Turkey. With zero points in their group, the Swiss are provolone in last place.

Steve Sax said...

EK, love the setup there; I didn't even see it coming! Edam, that was a gouda one.

Eric Karros said...

Ham I the only one who thinks we're taking these puns too far?

karina said...

Eric, no tienes nada de que disculparte, i think i understand your sense of humor!
i feel better today, in fact i had a surprise gig where i had to put my best face.
In the other hand, turkey is a far healthier choice than swiss.

Turkey is indeed a far healthier choice than Swiss, karina. I agree.

I still thought that the Swiss would have smoked Turkey, though.
