Dodgers Praised By Anonymous MLB Scout

The Kimbo Slice-covered ESPN the Magazine basically scared the hell out of me, so I haven't been as quick to read the latest issue. Once I got to the MLB Insider page, however, I was surprised to see Tim Kurkjian write this short quip about our Dodgers:

Although the Dodgers have been erratic, losing five in a row after winning 10 of 11, "they have the best mix of young players and veterans in our league," says one NL manager. A scout predicts LA will win the West by six games..."

Six games? Wow, that is indeed a bold prediction. Maybe it was a boy scout, rather than an MLB scout. Unless we're counting veterans on the DL (Nomar, Schmidt, Jones, etc.), that is.
