Eric Stults (1-0, 1.50) vs. Gavin Floyd (8-3, 3.19).
COMMENTS: They say things happen in threes, and certainly the Dodgers are sporting the Trifecta of Crappiness going into tonight's game: (1) a crushingly bad Interleague record (2-8), (2) a mysteriously elusive offense (scoring two or fewer runs in nine of 21 games this month) and (3) a capably efficient opposing pitcher (Floyd is averaging 6.5 innings per start this year).
So what's a Dodger fan to do? Pass the buck, of course. SoSG AC worked his magic in Sunday's win over Cleveland, but I dropped the ball in last night's loss. SoSG Sax scored some sweet seats for tonight's game and will hopefully relight the torch. Then maybe we can retire this random cliché generator I've been using.

Proctor is now on the DL. I don't think I'm alone in being somewhat grateful that this means Torre can't go to him in crucial situations, at least for a while.
Hey Erin. Cory Wade seems to be Joe's new go-to guy.
Red Sox 2, D'backs 0 in the 7th.
MLB.tv is blacking me out for this one, and the Chicago cable I have in my hotel room does not have the channel broadcasting the game locally. Not cool.
Hi guys! tables are turned! Dodgers 2-White Sox 0
Hey, we are up 2-0 and I am indeeeeeeed here. And the seats are awesome. Clearly, selling my kidney was a good call.
Here's the thing about 2-0 though: it could have been so much more. E-9 on a fly ball? We should have 4 runs. But we only have 2. Let's see if Eric Stults can make it hold up
Steve, i'm glad you're having a good time over there (you couldn't ask for less, after all, you only had a kidney!)
He will. He knows (somehow) you promised me to put everything in order tonight, remember?
King James singles, no outs!
King James steals a base!
Never mind. Kemp walks.
I hope Torre realizes this team doesn't hit for power, so the key is short ball.
DeWitt doubles, Dodgers 4-White Sox 0
Padres 3- Twins 5 bot 5th
Nice. DeWitt at 2nd, bunt by Berroa and sac fly by Stults.
Dodgers 5- White Sox 0
According to Gameday, Stults only did 5 pitches in the 6th inning.
Kemp doubles. Top of the 6th. One out
DeWitt IBB. Wild pitch, while Berroa batting. Kemp to 3rd, DeWitt to 2nd.
"Berroa reaches on a throwing error". Bases loaded, one out.
Urg. Stults struck out (you're doing great, no hard feelings) and Pierre grounded out.
Rancho Ardiendo with one out, they didn't score. However, they're up by 5, so we'll have to take what they give.
OH MY GOD we're winning! Hi, Karin!
We just watched Scully & Wooden for the Kids. Great stuff.
Fun nights this week, Orel?
Hello! Sax promised he was going to put everything in order.
Hell of an effort from Stults tonight. The White Sox lineup can be pretty potent, and he's held them to four hits (none for extra bases) through eight innings. Pierzynski grounded out on Stults' 100th pitch of the night, so I don't know if he'll be back, but color me impressed either way.
You know? i really think they should build a statue for Stults. Seriously. He looks like Cy Young material (against a powerful defense like the White Sox)
Any week that includes a visit to Dodger Stadium is a fun week, win or lose.
Stults is coming out for the 8th.
I mean for the 9th. I didn't realize he was going for the CG!
I'll be able to watch tomorrow's game on tv, but i'll have to rush from school.
Beautiful, Dodgers win!
Sax's a prophet.
Eric Stults is a hero. Early game tomorrow—rush home, but rush home safely!
night, everyone!
