Hiroki Kuroda (2-5, 3.93) vs. Sean Gallagher (3-1, 4.55).
COMMENTS: I was offered tickets to yesterday's game a couple hours before game time, but had to turn them down. And what did I miss? Matt Kemp doing his best Bo Jackson imitation, breaking his bat over his knee after striking out to end the game. I haven't been offered tickets to tonight's game, but I don't know if I would have the intestinal fortitude to attend anyway. But you know who does? Our very own Steve Sax, who will be in attendance...with a Cubs fan (gasp!). Are you kidding? With the Dodgers' recent track record, that's like a gladiator entering the Colosseum wearing a steak suit. But Sax loves the Blue so much he's willing to endure the slings and arrows of trash-talking Cubs fans. (A few beers will probably help ease the pain.) So send some positive vibes toward Dodger Stadium tonight—loyal Dodger fans could use 'em!

Hu changed his walk-up song, from "Who are you" to "who let the dogs out". I kid you not.
He strikes out anyway.
Next song: "Human," by the Human League.
Epale, nobody in particular! Glad to see the gang's all here for a Friday night game.
Jeff Kent ends the third inning swinging on a 3-0 count.
Loney made a valiant attempt on Kuroda's wild throw to first. Kinda unfair James gets an error. 1st & 3rd, no out. So much for that lead....
Scoring change: Kuroda gets the error.
Tension is running high with Ramirez at bat. Can Kuroda deal?
James with the major layout to complete the inning-ending DP! Wow!
Ooh, and it's a bad ball. I'll take it.
The ump makes the right call at first, this time for the Dodgers! Bases loaded.
Bases loaded, but ardoin Hu and Kuroda up? We won't score.
Ardoin says take that, Sax! 2-0 Dodgers.
Wonderful. Kent is ejected.
Now who do we have? What .100 hitter will we slot?
Bye bye, Kent! Jeff ejected for arguing a strike three call.
Ardoin squeezes in Loney! And Ardoin is safe! Beautiful! 3-0 Dodgers!
Wow, Vin's a little grumpy.
Kuroda's dealing. K's Lee for his 7th strikeout tonight. No walks.
Yo peeps, that squeeze was sweet. Never saw it coming. Kudos, Torre!
Hello, guys. Just got back to the room, and this one is on WGN so I might actually be able to see the end of it. Looking good so far.
Hey Erin! How's Chicago treating you?
Chicago is treating me well. Feels even better when the Dodgers are beating the Cubs.
My sister is coming to town this weekend to hang out, so I don't know how much of tomorrow's game I'll get to watch, unfortunately.
I did not expect Vin to name-drop Linkin Park there.
I wish I could hear Vin. Just read that he got angry that people (I'm not sure who. Everyone?) forgot today is D-Day.
Hi folks, just got in but I'm heading straight to bed.
I will be scared to check the score tomorrow morning. Recent games have conditioned me to fear what (stellar starting pitching + limited offense production + going to the bullpen) equals.
Good night!
Night, EK.
Erin, check our main page for Vin's rant.
Hope you don't dream of Yoda again.
KKKKKKKK
KKKKKKKKK
I just read it aloud to my girlfriend and she said, "I just don't want him to be upset."
Kuroda hit 95 mph!
Kuroda is still dealing in the eighth. Nice.
He wasn't upset, he was...passionate.
I am immediately behind any cause Vin Scully backs.
I didn't look at the date today until someone mentioned this speech from Scully. I always know June 6 is important, but sometimes I forget which milestone it marks. I won't forget again.
Maybe it's time to pop in Saving Private Ryan in the DVD player.
Maybe not. I don't want nightmares tonight.
Wow, Kuroda going for the CG!
Kuroda heard I needed some more scoreless innings for my fantasy team.
Gotta give credit to Ardoin for catching a good game too.
K's Soriano. Great pick for your fantasy team, Erin.
Cubs' announcers have been bitching all night about a play at first that Fukudome supposedly beat, but he was called out. It apparently would have tied the score at one. Did you guys see it?
I pretty much only have Dodgers or Red Sox pitchers on my team, because I need guys I can get behind. It's very homer-ish, but I don't care.
WOW. 4 hits, 11 K's, no walks. We really needed that.
That last pitch was nasty. Yeah, Kuroda is the man.
Yeah, that call on Fukudome was terrible. He had the throw beat by a foot and got called out. Worse, the ump had a chance to make a makeup call the next inning on a similar grounder by DeWitt—but called DeWitt safe.
Oh well. Can't feel bad about that call. The Dodgers needed a damn win.
Gotta go catch up on episodes of Battlestar Galactica. I'll try to stop by tomorrow. Goodnight!
Night!
Kuroda's CG was impressive. He was ON tonight, no doubt. We needed that.
The Dodgers still can't muster a breakout inning, but we'll take the victory. Go Dodgers!
Hu needs some more time in the cages, or maybe triple-A. His swings are positively horrible.
