The Adventures of Dodger Duck: Episode 3 / Disneyland

The Dodgers come home after a dismal 1-6 roadtrip, with nationally-televised shellackings over the weekend, and they win a game!!! So what else is there to do, but celebrate by going to Disneyland! (If we waited for Dodger World Championships, Tommorowland might be TwentyYearsAgoland.)

Witness Dodger Duck's dismay to learn that the Small World ride is closed and undergoing refurbishment, in order to deepen the channels for the ride's boats, which apparently were getting stuck in the channels due to heavier visitors. While Disney won't comment on whether the refurbishment is to make the attraction fit for the new heftier Americans (after all, they need us to keep eating churros in the park, right?), Dodger Duck did recall prior visits to Disneyland in which boats were visibly underfilled, despite long queue lengths. Hmm.

Luckily for him, however, the Matterhorn Bobsleds were open. We're having quite a great time this morning at Disneyland. Let's hope tonight's game can continue the happiness catalyzed by the happiest place on earth!

Did the Dodger Duck hold down his lunch on the teacups?

Uh-oh. Time for some sprite and a calm ride on the monorail.
